Job Summary

This role is for a Pharmacy Technician Higher Level in ward services

Some of the main day to day duties of this role include but are not limited to;

Medication history taking

Medicines optimisation

Dispensing and accuracy checking of medicines

Supporting and at times covering for the lead technician

Training of new and rotational staff

Line management of Senior Pharmacy Services Assistants

Core Professional Commitments (CPC) support and support to CPC areas when needed (dispensaries, J80 chemotherapy day unit and aseptics)

We are split into 5 different clusters across 2 sites and cover a high number of specialities.

We offer opportunities for development, project work, leadership skills, clinical skills and specialty work.

There are opportunities to also work with the wider MMPS such as pharmacists, clinical technicians as well as other multidisciplinary teams like nurses, doctors and co-ordinators.

What you will bring to the role

We are looking for a registered Pharmacy Technician or a trainee Pharmacy Technician with less than 6 months until they qualify who is enthusiastic, follows The Leeds Way, has a strong work ethic, is able to work well as part of a team as well as undertaking lone working and punctual.
