Full job description

Job Summary

Lasani Technical Engineering Solutions Ltd is seeking a Director of Technical Services to lead engineering delivery, technical support, and service quality across client projects. You will set technical standards, manage multidisciplinary teams, and ensure complex engineering work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.

What you'll do

Lead the planning, development, and execution of IT strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
Oversee the management of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and on-premise virtualisation environments such as vSphere.
Direct system architecture design encompassing application development, data warehousing, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Ensure robust network security protocols are in place, including firewall management, VPN configuration, DNS setup, WAN optimisation, MPLS networks, and disaster recovery plans.
Manage system administration tasks such as Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, Linux servers, SAN storage solutions, and server management.
Implement and oversee DevOps practices to streamline SDLC processes for software development projects involving technologies like C#, Java, Python, PHP, Node.js, Angular, React, HTML/CSS.
Maintain compliance with industry standards such as NIST standards for information security and best practices for network infrastructure security.
Lead cross-functional teams in project management initiatives involving APIs integration, machine learning applications, AI developments, and system design enhancements.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by analysing current systems for optimisation opportunities using analysis skills and IT best practices.
Negotiate vendor contracts and manage relationships with external service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Requirements

Significant experience in engineering services, technical operations, or project delivery.
Proven leadership of multidisciplinary engineering or technical teams.
Strong knowledge of design assurance, quality, safety, and risk management.
Excellent commercial judgement and stakeholder-management skills.
Degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
Chartered status or equivalent professional recognition is beneficial.

Pay: £5,900.00-£7,700.00 per month
