Job Overview

We are on the lookout for a passionate and reliable Bakers Assistant to join our bakery team. In this role, you’ll be a key player in supporting the baking process, helping create delicious baked goods that delight our customers. Whether you’re experienced in food preparation or eager to learn, this position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your culinary skills in a friendly, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about food, safety-conscious, and ready to contribute to a team that takes pride in quality baking.

Duties

Assist bakers with preparing ingredients and mixing dough or batter according to recipes.
Produce baked goods such as savories,biscuits and pastry shells.
Support the baking process by loading and unloading ovens, ensuring baked goods are cooked to perfection.
Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace, including proper storage of ingredients and supplies.
Follow food safety standards diligently to ensure all products meet hygiene and quality regulations.
Support with packaging baked items for display or delivery, ensuring presentation is appealing.
Participate in inventory checks, reporting shortages or issues with ingredients or equipment.
Collaborate with team members during busy periods to ensure timely production and high-quality output.
Taking orders over the telephone and assembling for collection.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food production, kitchen work, or bakery environments is mandatory.
Knowledge of food safety practices and handling procedures is essential.
Basic understanding of baking techniques and culinary processes is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt in a dynamic work setting.
Experience working in restaurants or food service establishments is advantageous.
