The Role / Responsibilities and Duties
We are looking for a practical, detail-oriented Electronics Technician to support the assembly, wiring, testing, and quality control of our Trident range of electronic products. The Trident range includes advanced subsea electronic tracking and monitoring systems used globally within offshore pipeline operations.
This hands-on role supports the assembly, testing, and quality assurance of our Trident electronic product range. The ideal candidate will have experience in electronic assembly and fault finding, with a proactive attitude and strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble electronic products and sub-assemblies for the Trident product range
- Carry out PCB assembly, wiring, soldering, and mechanical integration
- Perform functional testing and quality checks on completed units
- Diagnose and resolve basic electrical and electronic faults
- Read and follow assembly drawings, and test procedures
- Maintain accurate production and test records
- Support prototype builds and product development activities where required
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to company quality standards
- Assist with stock control and component organisation when needed
Key Skill Requirements
- Previous experience in an electronics technician, production, or assembly role
- Good soldering and wiring skills
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Experience using multimeters and standard electronic test equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with low-voltage or battery-powered electronic systems
- Familiarity with PCB assembly and testing
- Experience in product manufacturing or small-batch production
- Understanding of quality assurance processes
- IPC certification or similar electronics assembly training
