We are seeking a dedicated, skilled, and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Durham Careline in Hartlepool. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a busy and dynamic complex care environment, supporting adults with a wide range of needs including acquired brain injuries, neurological conditions, mental health needs, Learning disabilities and physical disabilities.
As a Night Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and clinical care of our service users during out-of-hours periods. You will be responsible for overseeing the unit, making autonomous clinical decisions, and maintaining high standards of care in a fast-paced and often unpredictable environment.
This role is ideally suited to a Nurse who thrives in complex care settings, is confident working independently, and is passionate about delivering person-centred care that makes a meaningful difference.
As a Nurse with Durham Careline you will:

Deliver safe, effective, and holistic nursing care based on comprehensive assessments and individual needs

Take clinical responsibility for the service during night shifts, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all residents

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate person-centred care plans and interventions

Monitor and respond promptly to changes in residents' physical and mental health, escalating concerns where appropriate

Safely administer, review, and manage medications in line with best practice and regulatory requirements

Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed clinical documentation and records

Ensure clinical areas, treatment rooms, and equipment are maintained to high standards of cleanliness and infection prevention

Lead, support, and supervise the care team, providing guidance and direction throughout the shift

Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team (MDT), contributing to care reviews and handovers

Promote safeguarding, dignity, respect, and independence for all service users

Respond effectively to incidents, emergencies, and challenging situations in a calm and professional manner

Ensure compliance with NMC Code of Conduct, organisational policies, and all relevant legislation and standards

Registered Nurse qualification (RGN, RMN, or RNLD)

Current, valid NMC registration

Minimum of 1 year's post-registration experience (experience within complex care highly desirable)

Demonstrable experience or confidence in managing complex clinical needs
