Overview
We are seeking a skilled Metal CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality metal components. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in precision machining. The position is paid and suitable for those eager to develop their skills within a dynamic industrial environment.
We are looking for someone who can operate a brand new Doosan VCF850SR800 with Heidenhain Control. This new Machine will be accompanied with training but previous Heidenhain experience will be Necessary
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring accurate production according to specifications
- Conduct grinding, milling, and other machining processes to achieve desired tolerances and finishes
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on CNC machinery
- Read technical drawings and blueprints to interpret machining requirements
- Use hand tools, power tools, and tooling to assist with machine setup and maintenance tasks
- Maintain a clean and organised work area adhering to health and safety standards
- Monitor production quality throughout the process and make adjustments as necessary
Skills
- Familiarity with tooling, hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques
- Mechanical knowledge related to machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Basic mathematics skills for measurements and calculations during setup and production processes
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
