We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Garden Associate to join our team. This role involves assisting with the maintenance and development of outdoor green spaces, ensuring they are healthy, vibrant, and aesthetically pleasing. Responsibilities
- Assist with planting, pruning, watering, and fertilising plants to promote healthy growth.
- Use hand tools such as spades, secateurs, and rakes for garden maintenance tasks.
- Operate power tools including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers safely and efficiently.
- Support irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure proper watering schedules.
- Maintain organised garden beds and landscape features in line with project specifications.
- Help with soil preparation, mulching, and composting to improve garden health.
- Assist in the installation of new plants, shrubs, and trees according to landscape plans.
- Support team members in larger landscape maintenance projects as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in gardening, horticulture or landscape maintenance is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems used in garden care.
- Practical knowledge of plant growth habits and garden design principles.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail.
- A genuine interest in gardening and landscape development.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently.
