ROK Marsh is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Housing & Property Management Apprentice to join our friendly team in Portsmouth.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on experience across residential sales, lettings and property management while completing a recognised apprenticeship qualification through TACS Training.
No previous property experience is required. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, excellent communication skills and a genuine willingness to learn.
About the Role
You will work alongside our experienced sales and lettings team, learning how properties are marketed, viewed, progressed and managed.
Your responsibilities will gradually increase as your knowledge and confidence develop.
Your duties will include:
- Assisting with and carrying out property viewings
- Speaking with prospective buyers, tenants, landlords and vendors
- Following up with people after property viewings
- Helping to progress property sales from offer through to completion
- Supporting the lettings and property management team
- Responding to general tenant enquiries
- Logging property maintenance issues
- Liaising with landlords and approved contractors
- Arranging access for repairs, inspections and maintenance visits
- Updating property and customer records
- Booking appointments and managing diaries
- Answering telephone calls and responding to emails
- Preparing property paperwork and correspondence
- Supporting the team with general office and administrative duties
- Learning about property legislation, compliance and professional standards
- Providing a friendly and professional service to everyone who contacts the business
About the Apprenticeship
Alongside your role at ROK Marsh, you will complete a Housing & Property Management Apprenticeship with TACS Training.
The programme includes structured learning, online modules and regular training sessions. You will work towards a recognised residential property management qualification while developing practical experience within a busy property business.
The apprenticeship programme is expected to last approximately 12 months, followed by an End Point Assessment period.
You will be given appropriate time during your working week to complete your apprenticeship training and coursework.

- Able to maintain confidentiality and handle information responsibly
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are strongly preferred, as the role will involve attending property viewings and appointments across Portsmouth and the surrounding areas.
Qualifications
Applicants should ideally have:
- GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above, or an equivalent qualification
Applicants who have not yet achieved these qualifications may be required to complete Functional Skills as part of the apprenticeship.
