We're embarking on an exciting digital transformation, investing heavily in our online customer experience, product configurators, customer portals and CRM systems. We're looking for a talented UX/UI Designer to help shape the future of our digital products.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Front-end Developer with a strong UX/UI sensibility who enjoys solving complex user problems and creating intuitive digital experiences.
You'll work closely with our Marketing, Development and Design teams to improve every touchpoint across our digital ecosystem - from our website and customer portal to product configurators and CRM interfaces.
You'll own the user experience from research and wireframing through to polished UI designs ready for development.
What You'll Be Working On
- Complete redesign and ongoing optimisation of the Phos website
- Customer portal experience
- Product configurator user journeys
- CRM interfaces and dashboards

- User testing and continuous UX improvements
Responsibilities
- Create user journeys, wireframes and interactive prototypes
- Design high-quality UI using Figma
- Build and maintain a scalable Figma component library
- Develop and evolve the Phos Design System
- Conduct user research and usability testing
- Analyse user behaviour using analytics and customer feedback
- Ensure accessibility best practices are embedded throughout the design process
- Collaborate closely with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately
- Produce developer-ready handoffs with clear specifications and assets
- Continuously improve the user experience through testing and iteration
- Stay up to date with UX trends, accessibility standards and design best practices
Skills & Experience
Essential
- 3+ years' experience in UX/UI Design
- Next.js (Typescript)
- Tailwind.css
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UX thinking and polished UI
- Advanced knowledge of Figma / Adobe XD
- Experience creating design systems and component libraries
- Wireframing and prototyping experience
- Understanding of responsive and mobile-first design
- Experience working alongside developers
- Strong understanding of user-centred design principles
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Desirable
- Shopify experience
- API Integration familiarity
- Experience working on B2B websites
- Experience designing customer portals or web applications
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as HubSpot
- Understanding of GA4, Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS
- Experience with product configurators or complex digital products
- Experience working within manufacturing or engineering businesses
