Quality Controller - Automotive Bodyshop Witham

Working hours for the role are Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:30pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays 8:00am-12:00pm

At Nova Automotive Group, we believe that the final inspection is one of the most important stages of every repair. Before any vehicle is returned to a customer, we want complete confidence that it has been repaired to the highest possible standard.

Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products meet the company's quality standards and specifications. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and strong analysis skills to contribute to maintaining high-quality outputs across our manufacturing processes. The position is paid and suitable for those looking to develop their expertise within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Conducting comprehensive post-repair quality inspections
Assessing paint finish, panel alignment and overall workmanship
Checking vehicle cleanliness inside and out prior to customer collection
Inspecting mirrors, trim, badges, mouldings and glass for correct fitment
Testing central locking, windows, mirrors and key functionality
Checking all exterior and interior lighting
Ensuring there are no warning lights or fault messages displayed
Confirming ADAS equipment, sensors and cameras are correctly fitted where applicable
Verifying vehicle features and accessories operate correctly
Identifying defects or areas requiring rectification before release
Working closely with technicians, painters and site management to maintain exceptional quality standards
Supporting continuous improvement by identifying recurring quality issues

Experience

Previous experience within an accident repair centre or automotive environment
Excellent attention to detail
Takes genuine pride in delivering outstanding quality
Understands modern vehicle systems and repair standards
Can confidently identify cosmetic and functional defects, and rectify if possible
Works well under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy
Has excellent communication skills
Holds a full UK driving licence
