The Role:
We are looking for a Quality Control Coordinator to join our global textile business. You will play a key role in pro actively managing the quality challenges we face in meeting customer requirements. This is a hands on role with some flexibility across our 2 local UK sites. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, motivated individual to grow their career within a supportive and professional team.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Assurance
- Complete technical checks and test bulk production samples to ensure compliance to the specification.
- Liaise directly with suppliers in approving goods or resolving queries.
- Ensure all quality data is recorded and samples are effectively stored.
- Undertake assessment and approval of bulk product deliveries from suppliers in line with an AQL framework.
- Update our internal ERP system with purchase order status.
Testing
- Complete in house fabric testing to understand fabric performance including abrasion, strength, chemical and colour measurement tests.
- Arrange external testing at 3rd party laboratories where required.
- Manage and share test data when needed.
Master Standards
· Create and maintain an approved master samples library for our products.
· Issue master standards to suppliers along with technical product data.
Quality Investigations
· Coordinate and participate in stock investigations to understand quality queries, observations or complaints.
· Assess returned stock to validate customer comments and refund requests.
· Visit customer’s premises where considered necessary.
Supplier & Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with suppliers to manage quality assessments and shipment approvals.
- Prioritise assessments in line with the demand plan and manage backlogs.
- Communicate approval status with all relevant internal stakeholders.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a quality control role required.
- Textiles experience not essential, we are looking for the right mindset.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible, proactive, and team-oriented approach.
- Able to manage a challenge from start to finish.
- Flexible in their approach to work.
- Holds a current driving licence and able to drive.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and reporting tools.
Working Hours & Benefits:
- Monday–Thursday: 8am–4:30pm | Friday: 8am–3:30pm (39 hours/week)
