Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. The successful candidate will assist with meal preparation, food safety, and maintaining cleanliness within the kitchen environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their culinary skills and gaining valuable experience in a busy catering or restaurant setting. Prior experience in food preparation or kitchen operations is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Assist with meal and food preparation, ensuring all ingredients are ready and available for cooking.
Support chef and kitchen staff with basic cooking tasks and food assembly.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all kitchen activities.
Help with cleaning and sanitising work surfaces, utensils, and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
Organise ingredients and supplies efficiently to facilitate smooth kitchen operations.
Serve food to customers or staff as required, ensuring presentation standards are met.
Support the team during busy periods by helping with various kitchen duties as needed.

Experience

Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or a similar food service environment is advantageous.
Familiarity with meal preparation, food safety protocols, and general kitchen procedures is desirable.
Experience in cooking or culinary roles will be considered a plus but is not mandatory.
Candidates with a background in food preparation, serving, or hospitality are encouraged to apply. Pay: £12.71-£16.81 per hour
