Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and supporting the organisation’s accounting functions. Duties
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a regular basis
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense claims
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant financial regulations
- Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants as required
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles preferred
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial reconciliation
- Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Relevant qualifications in finance or accounting are advantageous but not mandatory
