Full job description

We're expanding and looking for an experienced Pastry Baker to join our family-run artisan bakery!

Salary: £29,000-£33,000 per year (starting salary will depend on experience and/ or qualifications and will increase as you develop into the business)

40 hours spread across 5 days per week

At The Cambridge Oven, we believe exceptional pastry products start with exceptional people. As a family-run artisan bakery, we make everything with care, using traditional methods and quality ingredients. We're looking for someone who shares our passion for craftsmanship.

About the role
This is an opportunity for an experienced and passionate artisan baker. You will work alongside other experienced bakers and trainee bakers, while helping maintain the high standards our bakery is known for.

Prepare pastries and cake mixtures by hand
Create high quality Viennoiserie and Patisserie
Support other Bakers, including trainee pastry bakers
3.30am start, 40 hours per week (across 5 days)
Working weekends, with some Sundays off
Attention to detail is essential – as we make quality products
Working independently under pressure, and with team
Receiving and checking deliveries, in accordance with food hygiene regulations
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene control
Stocking sales area
Work in a tidy and efficient manner ensuring good housekeeping and safe practice
Demonstrate good customer relation skills when dealing with others e.g. suppliers.
Holiday’s must be spread across the year, as negotiated

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £29,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
