Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Interim Credit Controller to join our financial team for a three month fixed term contract. Working two days a week in this vital role, you will oversee the credit management process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments and maintaining healthy client relationships. Your energetic approach will help streamline credit operations, support cash flow, and uphold the company’s financial integrity during this interim period. Duties

Manage the full credit control cycle, including issuing invoices, monitoring overdue accounts, and following up on unpaid balances.
Communicate effectively with clients via phone and email to resolve payment issues promptly while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
Conduct data entry of payment details, account adjustments, and client communications accurately within accounting software systems.
Collaborate with accounts payable teams to ensure alignment of incoming payments and reconcile discrepancies efficiently.
Analyse account data to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for process improvements.
Prepare regular reports on aged debt, collection progress, and cash flow forecasts for management review.

Requirements

Proven experience in credit control or accounts receivable within financial services or related industries.
Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately.
Proficiency in accounting software and data entry processes to ensure precise record keeping.
Excellent phone etiquette with confident communication skills for engaging clients professionally.
Knowledge of accounts payable processes and familiarity with telemarketing techniques is advantageous.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks efficiently, and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
Previous experience in a temporary or interim role is preferred but not mandatory.
