About the Role
Beauchamp Leisure is seeking an experienced, professional and highly motivated Bid Writer to join our Business Development team.
This is a pivotal role within the business, responsible for producing compelling, high-quality tender submissions that support the growth of our Facilities Management services across the UK. Working closely with Business Development, Operational, Commercial, QuESH, HR and Senior Leadership teams, you will lead the creation of winning bid responses that clearly demonstrate our capabilities, innovation and commitment to service excellence.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in bid writing, tender management and proposal development, ideally within the Facilities Management, Cleaning, Security, Property Services or wider Business Services sector.
You will be an exceptional writer with the ability to translate operational expertise into persuasive and commercially compelling tender responses that maximise our chances of success.

Key Responsibilities
As Bid Writer, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the end-to-end tender process, ensuring all submissions are completed accurately, professionally and within strict deadlines.
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing the preparation and submission of PQQs, SQs, RFIs, ITTs, RFQs and framework applications.
- Producing compelling, high-quality written responses that clearly articulate Tenon FM's value proposition.
- Working closely with Business Development Managers to agree bid strategy, key themes and win plans.
- Analysing tender documentation and identifying key client requirements, risks and opportunities.
- Dissecting tender questions and producing structured answer plans to maximise the quality of information obtained from subject matter experts.
- Coordinating responses from operational, commercial, HR, finance, mobilisation and compliance teams.
- Editing, proofreading and quality-checking submissions to ensure consistency, accuracy and compliance.
- Using AI-assisted technologies appropriately to support research, content development and bid production whilst maintaining quality and originality.
- Producing professional presentations, proposal documents, executive summaries and client-facing reports.
- Maintaining and developing the bid content library, case studies, evidence bank and supporting documentation.
- Reviewing and updating standard responses to ensure they remain current, relevant and competitive.
- Supporting post-tender presentations, clarification meetings and client negotiations.
- Monitoring tender portals and identifying upcoming opportunities.
- Managing multiple concurrent tenders and proposals while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
- Ensuring all submissions are completed within required deadlines.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the bid function.
- Maintaining confidentiality and compliance throughout the tender process.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Essential
- Proven experience as a Bid Writer, Proposal Writer or Tender Manager.
- Strong experience responding to public and private sector tenders.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce persuasive, concise and engaging content.
- Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading capability.
- Experience coordinating complex tender submissions involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work to challenging deadlines.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience producing high-quality presentations and proposal documents.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to challenge, question and obtain information from senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently whilst remaining a collaborative team player.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of how tender responses contribute to business growth.
- Experience using AI tools responsibly to improve efficiency and support proposal development.
Desirable
- Previous experience within Facilities Management, Cleaning, Security, Property Services or Business Services sectors.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and framework agreements.
- Experience working with bid management software and tender portals.
- Understanding of social value, ESG and sustainability requirements within tender submissions.
- Experience supporting client presentations and bid interviews.
