Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Commis Chef to join our culinary team. This entry-level role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a dynamic hospitality environment. As a Commis Chef, you will support senior chefs in delivering high-quality dishes and ensure smooth kitchen workflows. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to a vibrant team dedicated to excellence.

Duties

Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking dishes according to established recipes and standards.
Support the food production process, ensuring timely and consistent meal delivery.
Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling and storage.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during busy service times.
Follow food safety protocols and hygiene standards to uphold health regulations.
Participate in inventory checks, report shortages, and help with stock rotation.
Contribute positively to team management by supporting senior staff and taking direction effectively.

Qualifications

Previous experience in kitchen work or hospitality is advantageous but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety standards.
Good communication skills for effective teamwork and coordination.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated interest in culinary arts and hospitality service.
Leadership qualities or supervising experience are a plus for future growth opportunities.
