We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to take ownership of complex mechanical design projects from concept through manufacturing. This is more than producing technical drawings—you will drive engineering decisions, improve product performance, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, high-quality mechanical solutions. Key Responsibilities:
Mechanical Design Leadership:
Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, components, and assemblies from concept through production while ensuring performance, manufacturability, and reliability.
Engineering Development:
Create detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, technical specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) that support efficient manufacturing and assembly.
Design Optimization:
Evaluate and improve existing products through engineering analysis, tolerance studies, material selection, and design for manufacture (DFM) principles.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with manufacturing, production, quality, procurement, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery and smooth product implementation.
Technical Leadership:
Provide engineering guidance, conduct design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering department.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering, Product Design, or Industrial Engineering, with proven experience delivering complex engineering projects.
Technical Expertise:
Strong proficiency using professional 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Creo, CATIA, or Siemens NX, together with a thorough understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
Engineering Knowledge:
Experience with mechanical calculations, material selection, tolerance analysis, design validation, prototype development, and engineering documentation.
Communication Skills:
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to present technical solutions, work effectively with cross-functional teams, and mentor less experienced engineers.

Pay: £45,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
