The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Rural Surveyor to join our team on either a full or part time basis. This is an excellent role for a newly qualified surveyor through to around 5 years’ PQE looking to develop their career within a supportive, close-knit team.
You will be involved in a broad range of rural professional work across East Yorkshire and the surrounding area, including:
- Serving our existing client base in a range of rural estate and property management matters.
- Overseeing the sales and lettings of farms and agricultural land.
- Managing estates comprising of agricultural and residential properties.
- Providing business management, investment and development advice.
- Providing advice on farming incentive and compensation schemes.
- Conducting land and property valuations for loan security, taxation and investment purposes.
- Recommending strategies for land management and exploring diversification opportunities.
- Assisting in providing expert advice to clients.
- Supporting with utility, infrastructure and renewable energy projects.
- General rural consultancy.
The role offers the chance to build strong client relationships and take on increasing responsibility as your experience develops.
What We’re Looking For
- MRICS or ARICS qualified (or recently qualified)
- Degree-qualified in Rural Surveying or a related discipline
- Able to manage a busy and varied caseload with minimal supervision
- Commercially aware with a genuine interest in the rural property sector
- Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills
- Proactive, organised, and keen to develop professionally
- Full UK driving licence
