We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused IT Support Technician to deliver high-quality technical support across the organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues, supporting users both remotely and on-site, and contributing to the effective operation and maintenance of the company’s IT systems and infrastructure.

- Working Hours: Full-time 8.00am – 5pm Monday to Thursday and 4pm Friday
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to end users across the business
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, printing, and network-related issues
- Install, configure, and maintain laptops, mobile devices, and associated peripherals
- Manage user accounts, including provisioning, password resets, and access permissions
- Support and administer Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel
- Respond to and manage IT support tickets, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including equipment setup and access management
- Maintain accurate inventory records for IT equipment and software licences
- Promote and adhere to cybersecurity best practices and internal IT policies
- Liaise with third-party vendors and service providers as required
- Visit McConnell sites to setup and maintain networking equipment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in an IT support or helpdesk environment
- Experience administering and supporting Microsoft 365
- Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications
- Familiarity with SharePoint and Microsoft Intune is advantageous
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach
- Ability to manage workload effectively, prioritise tasks, and work independently
- Approachable, and customer-oriented manner
- High level of attention to detail
- Proactive, hands-on approach with a positive “can-do” attitude
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively
- Hold a full UK driving licence
