We are seeking a motivated individual to join our factory team to support with operating our bending rolls and press brake machine. The role will involve:
- Learning from and assisting our highly experienced existing operator on both machine types.
- Reading from and working to detailed design drawings for specific parts to ensure they’re made accurately.
- Loading / unloading machines, preparing material for loading into the machines, stacking finished goods once unloaded so they are ready for the next stage of production.
- Using jigs and other tools to complete quality control checks on completed parts before they are handed over to the next department.
- Assisting other areas of the production team as required to cover for annual leave / sickness absence.
Previous experience of operating either bending rolls or press brake machines would great, but not a requirement as all machine and task specific training will be provided. The most important qualities for this role are to have a positive approach to learning and perfecting new skills within an engineering / fabrication environment, be accurate and consistent in the work you do, be reliable in attendance and to work well and safely as part of a team.
An attendance-based bonus scheme is currently run by the company, the successful applicant will become eligible for this after passing their initial probation period.
Overtime may be available depending on factory workload but is not guaranteed or a mandatory requirement / expectation.
