Job: Project Manager – Renewable Energy
ECRU Energy Ltd is expanding its project delivery team and is looking for a capable Project Manager to help manage renewable energy and low-carbon installation projects across the UK.
This role is ideal for someone who can take responsibility for project planning, contractor coordination, site progress, client communication, documentation, and final handover. The successful candidate will be involved in managing projects across renewable energy, retrofit, domestic energy efficiency, Solar PV, battery storage, EV charging, heat pumps, and related low-carbon systems.
About the Role
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for keeping projects organised, on schedule, properly documented, and delivered to a high standard. You will work with installers, subcontractors, suppliers, surveyors, customers, and internal management to make sure each project moves smoothly from initial assessment through to completion.
Main Duties
- Manage renewable energy and energy-efficiency projects from planning stage to completion
- Coordinate installers, subcontractors, suppliers, surveyors, and internal teams
- Prepare and monitor project timelines, work schedules, labour requirements, and material needs
- Review survey notes, installation information, photos, certificates, and handover documents
- Track project progress and resolve delays, access issues, site problems, and customer concerns
- Carry out quality checks and ensure snagging items are completed before final handover
- Keep project files, compliance evidence, customer records, and completion documents properly organised
- Support procurement, supplier communication, and subcontractor performance monitoring
- Assist with operational reporting, project updates, and process improvements
- Help the business deliver projects safely, professionally, and efficiently
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in project management, construction coordination, retrofit, renewable energy, or building services
- Good understanding of site operations, installer coordination, documentation, and customer communication
- Knowledge of Solar PV, battery storage, EV charging, ASHP, retrofit, or energy-efficiency measures would be beneficial
- Strong organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at the same time
- Confident using spreadsheets, emails, digital records, and project management systems
- Technical, engineering, construction, or energy-related background preferred
- Knowledge of PAS 2030/2035, MCS, NAPIT, TrustMark or similar schemes would be an advantage
