Role Summary
Monday-to-Friday (0830-1700hrs)
Working closely with the IT Manager, the Senior IT Administrator will play a key role in supporting Parkacre’s ongoing digital transformation and infrastructure modernisation projects.
The role is responsible for the day-to-day management, optimisation, security, and continuous improvement of the Company’s IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, networks, and server environments.
Acting as a senior technical escalation point within the IT department, the successful candidate will lead on the implementation and support of Microsoft 365 technologies including Entra ID, Intune, Conditional Access, and Windows Autopilot, whilst also supporting network infrastructure, cyber security systems, backup and disaster recovery solutions, and server administration.
The role requires a proactive, security-focused individual capable of troubleshooting complex technical issues, implementing infrastructure improvements, creating technical documentation and SOPs, and supporting the delivery of strategic IT projects across the business. The Senior IT Administrator will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure systems remain secure, efficient, and aligned with operational and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain the Company’s server, cloud, network, and IT infrastructure environments
- Lead the implementation and optimisation of Microsoft 365 technologies including Entra ID, Intune, Conditional Access, and Windows Autopilot
- Manage and support Active Directory, Group Policy, Hyper-V, backup, and disaster recovery systems
- Maintain and optimise firewall, endpoint protection, and cyber security solutions
- Provide technical support and resolution for escalated infrastructure and service desk issues
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across IT systems and infrastructure
- Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and standard operating processes
- Support workstation deployment, imaging, and device management strategies
- Assist with IT projects, upgrades, system migrations, and infrastructure improvements
- Ensure systems remain secure, compliant, and aligned with business requirements
Skills/Experience/Qualifications
The role of Senior IT Administrator requires a highly technical, security-focused individual with strong infrastructure, networking, cloud, and systems administration experience. To perform this role successfully, the individual must be capable of managing complex technical environments, supporting infrastructure modernisation projects, and maintaining secure and reliable IT operations across the business.
Qualifications
- Degree, equivalent qualification, or relevant industry experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Infrastructure, Networking, or a related field
- Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra, Networking, or Cyber Security certifications desirable
- ITIL, CompTIA, Microsoft, or other relevant technical certifications desirable
Experience
- Proven experience within a Senior IT Administrator, Infrastructure, or Systems Administration role
- Strong experience supporting and maintaining Microsoft 365 Business Premium / Enterprise environments
- Experience managing and implementing Microsoft Intune, Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, and Windows Autopilot
- Experience supporting Windows Server environments, Hyper-V, Active Directory, and Group Policy management
- Strong networking experience including VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, switches, and wireless infrastructure
- Experience supporting cyber security solutions, endpoint protection, backup, and disaster recovery systems
- Experience managing escalated technical support issues and infrastructure troubleshooting
- Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation and SOPs
- Experience supporting infrastructure projects, migrations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience with SonicWall, Ubiquiti, Veeam, Bitdefender, Tenable, or similar technologies desirable
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, networking, cyber security, and systems administration
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 administration and cloud-based technologies
- Ability to identify infrastructure risks, vulnerabilities, and improvement opportunities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently whilst supporting wider team and business objectives
- Security-first mindset with strong awareness of data protection, cyber security, and GDPR principles
