Pipe Fitter & Welder
The main focus of the role is to complete multiple projects across customer sites throughout the UK, with the possibility of being in our workshop if required. Intermittent working away will be part of this role however this will not be for extended periods of time. Experience within boiler houses and plant rooms is preferred as projects will predominately be installation of new industrial steam boilers.
We are looking for candidates with several years’ experience or who have completed NVQ level 3 or equivalent in piping fitting / fabrication and welding processes.
Welding processes for this position will typically be MMA, MIG or TIG.
Daily duties will involve;
- Accurately measure up, sketch out and install pipework systems
· Part of a small team, reading sketches and engineering drawings
· Welding of ½” to 24” schedule pipework to class 1 standard
· Using fabrication tools such as welding plant, cutting plant oxy/acetylene, 4.5-9-inch angle grinders, drilling machines, pistol drills, chop saws, and general hand tools
In addition to daily duties, key tasks will include;
· Ensure all activities are performed safely and accurately in accordance with all relevant legislation, policies and company guidelines.
· Complete all paperwork and system-based records accurately and timely manner
· Assist in the development of other team members by sharing knowledge and expertise
We are looking for someone that has excellent communications skills and can use their own initiative to work without constant supervision.
Must hold a full valid UK driving licence and be a competent driver.
Salary is negotiable based on experience, weekend and overtime work is always a possibility.
All health and safety training is provided as well as transport when required.
This is a permanent contract subject to completion of a satisfactory probation period.
Core hours are 7.30-16.00 Monday to Friday, but flexibility to suit customer needs is expected.
Pay: From £17.00 per hour
