Full job description

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Sushi Chef to join the team at K-Town Guildford. The successful candidate will have strong experience in Japanese cuisine, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality sushi dishes, maintaining excellent presentation standards, and supporting the kitchen team in delivering a great customer experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare a wide range of sushi dishes to a consistent high standard.
Ensure all ingredients are fresh, correctly stored, and used efficiently.
Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic sushi station at all times.
Monitor stock levels and report supply needs to management.
Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures, including safe handling of raw fish and other ingredients.

Required Skills and Experience

Previous experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar kitchen role.
Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine and sushi preparation.
Good English communication skills.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple orders during busy service.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards.
Excellent attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
