Full job description

Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar/Waiting Staff to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic environment, providing exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. Previous restaurant or service experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided. All positions are paid, including internships, ensuring you gain valuable experience while earning.

Duties

Taking orders from guests accurately and efficiently
Serving food and beverages in a courteous and timely manner
Preparing and presenting drinks in accordance with standard recipes
Ensuring the cleanliness and organisation of the service area
Assisting with food preparation tasks as required, maintaining food safety standards
Upselling menu items to maximise sales opportunities
Providing exceptional guest services by attending to customer needs and queries
Handling payments and operating POS systems accurately
Supporting team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow
Maintaining a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits

Skills

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
Basic maths skills for billing and cash handling
Experience with food preparation and kitchen operations is beneficial
Culinary experience or understanding of menu items enhances guest interactions
Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy shifts
Strong guest service orientation with friendly and professional demeanour
Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and sales performance
Good organisational skills to maintain cleanliness and order in the work area
