Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend and shape sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to producing high-quality metal parts used across various industries. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brake machines according to specifications
- Read and interpret technical drawings and work orders to determine bending requirements
- Adjust machine settings, tooling, and parameters to ensure accurate bends and consistent quality
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on press brake equipment
- Use hand tools and measuring devices such as calipers and gauges to verify dimensions
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety standards at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience operating press brake machinery in a manufacturing or fabrication setting is essential
- Strong mechanical knowledge of sheet metal working processes and tooling setup
- Familiarity with fabrication techniques such as grinding, welding, and assembly
- Ability to read technical drawings and perform basic math calculations for measurements and angles
- Knowledge of hand tools, sheet metal handling, and tooling adjustments
- Basic understanding of safety procedures related to machine operation and metalworking environments
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control
Candidates should have hands-on skills with sheet metal handling, use of hand tools, tooling setup, and basic math for precise measurements.
Pay: £15.00-£16.00 per hour
