Job Introduction

Painter - Estates – Healthcare Environment

Location: Hereford County Hospital

Hours: 40 per week, Monday–Friday - No weekends, No call‑outs and stable daytime hours.

Shift Times: 7:00–15:30 or 7:30–16:00

Pay: £14.15 per hour (40 hrs)

Overtime: Paid at time and a half after 40 hours

We’re looking for a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our Estates team at Hereford County Hospital. You’ll help maintain a safe, welcoming and well‑presented environment for patients, visitors and staff — work that genuinely makes a difference every day.

What You’ll Do

Carry out internal and external painting, decorating and general maintenance
Support planned and reactive maintenance across the hospital estate
Maintain high standards of finish, safety and professionalism
Work closely with the Estates team and hospital staff to ensure smooth operations
Contribute to a positive, safe and efficient working environment

What You Bring

Experience in painting, decorating or building maintenance
NVQ in Painting & Decorating is desirable, but not essential
Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others
A proactive, flexible approach and commitment to high standards
Experience in a healthcare setting is desirable but not required
