The Job Role

If you are looking for a new challenge with a global market leader which designs and manufactures aerospace search and rescue equipment, HR Smith Group of Companies is the one for you. We are a family run business with over 6 decades of experience and are dedicated to finding the perfect solutions for our customers. Currently we are looking for a Driver/General Duties Assistant to join us at our Production Facility in Rotherwas.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Collection of personal items for Directors as and when required
Move items between departments with utmost urgency.
Collect and deliver shipping boxes, goods and paperwork in a timely manner.
Deliver packaging from the shipping warehouse to departments on our Rotherwas site.
Conduct general vehicle maintenance checks on a weekly basis and collection and delivery of vehicles requiring service, MOT etc.
Fuel and clean (inside and out) company cars, vans and Director’s vehicles.
Deliver internal mail items to and from Street Court.
Carry out internal mail deliveries across site according to internal mail rota.
Take external mail items for despatch to post office as and when required.
Collect and drop off milk, gas bottles, and laundry and bird seed to areas on site when required.
Collect from all areas on site donations to the Hereford Food bank and drop off.
Empty rubbish bins, remove cardboard, move pallets and oil drums to compound.
Collection of shredding waste material for disposal.
Collection of items and rubbish from Martha Trust and Sophie House as and when required.
Collection of items for Purchasing from local sources.
Couriering of items to external addresses.
Basic manual labour duties, e.g. gardening when required.

Full time position.
Hours are based on a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 4.30 pm with half an hour each day for lunch. No weekend, evening or bank holiday working.

Due to the nature of the business being a manufacturing environment, working from home arrangements are not available.
