Long established Herefordshire law firm, Gabbs Solicitors, has a Vacancy for

Paralegal – Civil Litigation Team (Hereford Office) – Full/Part Time Position

Following the continued growth of the firm’s civil litigation team, we are excited to advertise the position of paralegal with the department.

The role is primarily to assist the head of department in the day to day running of a wide variety of civil disputes including:

· Personal injury claims – EL / PL – High value

· Landlord and Tenant

· Consumer disputes

· Contentious probate disputes

· Employment disputes

· Consumer disputes

· Commercial disputes

· Property and boundary disputes

· Professional negligence claims

The successful candidate will work under the supervision and assistance of the solicitor in the department.

The following skills and experience would be beneficial to the role:

· Previous experience of the type of work listed above

· Keen eye for detail

· Logical thinker

· Team player

· Independently motivated

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Empathetic listener

· Calm under pressure

· Comfortable and confident in dealing with confidential and sensitive information

· Proficient in the use of IT systems (training supplied)

· Good telephone manner

Whilst a law degree and previous experience working in a solicitor’s firm would be highly desirable, we are open to considering candidates with transferable skills from previous careers and backgrounds.
