Job Title: Account Manager – European VAT
Location: Melton, Hull (In-Person Role)

Hours: Full-Time, Salaried Working Pattern: 30 hours per week (paid as a full 40-hour role)

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager to join our growing European VAT team, based in person at our Melton, Hull office. This is a key leadership role for a confident professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing people, and is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and customer success.

This role offers a genuinely attractive work-life balance: you will be paid a full-time salary while working only 30 hours per week, reflecting our commitment to productivity, wellbeing.

Full in-house training is provided.

A fully funded, degree-level VAT qualification to formally develop your career and standing in your VAT profession for the right candidate.

The Role

As Account Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of European VAT clients while leading and developing a small but growing team. You will be central to ensuring clients receive a first-class service and feel supported, informed, and confident at every stage of their VAT journey.

This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong communication skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of European VAT clients, delivering an exceptional customer experience

Drive customer success by ensuring clients feel supported, informed, and confident in our services

Lead, manage, and motivate a small but expanding team, setting clear expectations and maintaining high standards

Oversee daily workflows, ensuring deadlines, accuracy, and compliance across multiple European jurisdictions

Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and staff via phone, email, and internal meetings

Resolve client and operational issues efficiently, using a proactive and solutions-focused approach

Keep up to date with changes in European VAT legislation, regulatory updates, and evolving compliance requirements, ensuring both clients and internal teams are informed and aligned

Continuously improve processes to enhance service delivery and team efficiency

Maintain a strong working knowledge of European VAT regulations and compliance requirements
