Hours: 13 or 19.5 hours per week over 2 or 3 days (including some Saturdays)

Hextol Foundation is looking for an enthusiastic and caring Kitchen Supervisor to join our highly rated Tans Café team. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for vegetarian/vegan food with meaningful work that supports people with learning differences and/or mental health needs to build confidence, develop skills, gain valuable work experience and reduce social isolation.

About Tans Café
Tans Café is a popular vegetarian and vegan café in the heart of Hexham. Since opening in 2016, we have developed a loyal customer following thanks to our high-quality food, welcoming atmosphere and social purpose.
The Role
- Prepare and cook a range of vegetarian and vegan dishes
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Supervise and encourage volunteers and trainees
- Help individuals build confidence and workplace skills
- Ensure high standards of food hygiene and safety
- Assist with stock control and ordering
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain our strong reputation

About You
- Has experience working in a commercial kitchen
- Takes pride in producing high-quality food
- Has excellent organisational and communication skills
- Works well as part of a team
- Is patient, encouraging and committed to supporting others
