Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Room Attendant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of guest rooms, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and comfort. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for hospitality and attention to detail to contribute to a welcoming environment for our guests. Prior hotel or janitorial experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies
- Ensure all areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with laundry duties as required
- Restock amenities such as towels, toiletries, and other supplies in guest rooms
- Maintain the organisation of linen closets and storage areas
- Respond promptly to guest requests or special instructions
Qualifications
- Previous hotel experience or background in hospitality is desirable
- Experience in janitorial or cleaning roles is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within a team setting
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays if required
