Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tire Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and replacing tyres on a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive maintenance and a keen eye for detail to develop their skills within a professional environment.

Responsibilities

Remove and replace tyres using hand tools and power tools efficiently and safely
Inspect tyres for damage, wear, and defects, providing recommendations for repairs or replacements
Balance tyres to ensure smooth vehicle operation
Assist with wheel alignment procedures as required
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot tyre-related issues effectively
Operate lifting equipment to handle heavy tyres during installation or removal
Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and safety standards

Experience

Previous experience working with mechanical tools, hand tools, and power tools is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Knowledge of tyre types, vehicle systems, and basic automotive maintenance is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently is essential
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are required to ensure quality work
Prior experience in a similar role or automotive environment will be considered an asset
