Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our veterinary practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients, supporting the veterinary team, and ensuring the wellbeing of both animals and clients. We are a proudly independent practice that provides its own OOH care.Due to expansion, this is an exciting opportunity to work a 4 day week of 8 hour shifts, plus one night per week on call and 1 in 5 weekends with TOIL for weekends worked.
Responsibilities
- Assisting veterinarians during consultations, surgeries, and procedures with clinical support and preparation of equipment.
- Administering medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinary team.
- Monitoring anaesthetic and post-operative recovery of animals, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Conducting laboratory tests and analysing samples to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Providing advice and education to pet owners regarding animal health, nutrition, and preventative care.
- Maintaining accurate medical records in accordance with practice protocols.
- Ensuring cleanliness and organisation of clinical areas, including kennels, surgical suites, and laboratory spaces.
- Supporting the reception team with client communication when necessary.
Requirements
- recognised qualification as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
- Compassionate approach towards animals and their owners, with a commitment to delivering outstanding care.

Pay: £27,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
