Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and organised Front Office Assistant to join our team on an initial part-time basis. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for members and guests, providing exceptional customer service as well as administrative support. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your office skills within a professional environment, contributing to the smooth operation of our organisation. The position is paid and ideal for individuals with a keen eye for detail and strong communication abilities.

Working hours Mon - Fri 12noon - 5pm

Responsibilities

Welcome members in a courteous and professional manner
Answer phone calls promptly, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence via email and postal services
Maintain appointment schedules using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications
Perform data entry tasks accurately
Organise files, documents, and office supplies to ensure efficient workflow
Ensure the members' area remains tidy and welcoming at all times
Assist Managers with basic hospitality tasks as required
Attend regular management meetings and produce minutes (occasional evening additional hours)

Qualifications

Previous office or administrative experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive)
Experience with data entry and record keeping is advantageous
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Good typing speed and accuracy
Demonstrates professional phone etiquette and excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently
Well presented, utilising the highest standards of Customer Service
Strong attention to detail and organisational ability are essential for success in this role

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £13.00 per hour
