Your role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Scientist 1 to join our Molecular Biology team in Glasgow on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This role will be working on a condensed hours 4 day working week and will include working 1 in 8 weekends.

Key responsibilities:

Perform routine and custom GLP/GMP studies in support of ongoing studies.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and stock control to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
Adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines, and contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory processes.

Who you are:

Educated to HND or above in a relevant biological science, experience with qPCR testing is an advantage.
Ability to prioritise own workload and work within a fast-paced environment, with a strong problem-solving ability.
Must be self-motivated, with high levels of initiative, facing challenges with energy, drive and the need to finish, with a strong focus on quality and safety.
Demonstrate strong planning and organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise effectively, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer literate, ideally with prior knowledge of working with LIMS.
