Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes in accordance with our restaurant standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for those passionate about culinary arts to develop their skills within a professional kitchen environment. The Chef de Partie will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Duties

Prepare, cook, and present dishes in line with established recipes and standards
Oversee specific sections of the kitchen, such as fish, meat, or pastry, ensuring consistency and quality
Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all aspects of food preparation
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure ingredients are available for service
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service
Train junior staff members and provide guidance on food preparation techniques
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of workstations before, during, and after service
Comply with health and safety regulations at all times

Qualifications

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant setting
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation
Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
Previous experience as a chef de partie or similar role is desirable
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional quality dishes
