Role Profile
The role is responsible for maintaining BCW's buildings, grounds and facilities to a safe, clean and operational standard and involves carrying out a wide range of routine maintenance, basic repairs and decorating tasks, as well as responding promptly to maintenance issues to enable effective, efficient and cost-effective delivery of quality product and service to our customers working to company process standards and operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities Support
· Maintain external areas, including litter picking, minor grounds maintenance, grassed areas and hedging
· Ensure storage areas and workshops remain organised and safe
· Performing basic repairs, such as fixing doors, locks, windows, flooring, walls, and ceilings
· Completing simple plumbing tasks, including repairing leaks, replacing taps, or clearing blocked drains and toilets
· Undertaking basic electrical work where permitted, such as changing light bulbs, plus and replacing sockets (more complex electrical work is usually carried out by qualified electricians)
· Assemble and move work benches and office furniture
· Assist with office moves and room set-ups
Decorating
· Prepare surfaces for painting
· Carry out internal and external painting and decorating
· Repair minor wall damage prior to decorating
· Maintain communal areas to a high standard of presentation
Contractor Support
· Escort external contractors where required
· Monitor contractor work to ensure site procedures are followed
· Assist with access arrangements and shutdowns
General Duties
· Carrying out routine inspections of buildings and equipment to identify faults or wear
· Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests
· Maintain accurate maintenance records where required
· Support colleagues with general facilities tasks
· Any other reasonable management request.

· Competitive rates pf pay between £15,912.00 to £18,000.00 (Pro Rated)

Pay: £12.75-£14.42 per hour
