Family Law Caseworker - Birmingham

Position: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: Negotiable based on experience

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Family Law Caseworker to lead our Family Law Department. This is a standalone position with significant responsibility and autonomy.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in family law, excellent client management skills, and the ability to independently handle a diverse caseload of privately funded family matters.

For exceptional candidates, there is potential for a training contract and SQE related work experience.

Key Responsibilities

To assist and manage caseload of private family law matters
Provide clear guidance and support to clients navigating complex family law processes
Maintain meticulous case files and documentation
Utilise case management systems to track progress and ensure timely completion of all tasks
Collaborate effectively with barristers, courts, and other legal professionals
Offer empathetic support to clients during challenging personal circumstances
Contribute to the growth and development of the Family Law Department

Requirements

Demonstrated experience in family law casework
Strong knowledge of family law procedures and regulations
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently whilst maintaining high standards
Empathetic approach to sensitive client matters
