Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated, diligent and detail-oriented Trainee Plant Operator to join our manufacturing team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in plant operations, develop technical skills, and advance within a dynamic environment. The Trainee Plant Operator will work closely with experienced operators to learn the fundamentals of plant machinery, safety protocols, and process management, contributing to the efficient and safe operation of our facility.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the operation of our coating and dicing machines. under supervision, ensuring smooth production processes
- Conduct quality checks on finished parts to ensure they meet specifications
- Monitor gauges, controls, and instrumentation to maintain optimal operating conditions
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and report any irregularities or malfunctions
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Support troubleshooting efforts and participate in basic maintenance tasks as directed
- Document operational data accurately for reporting purposes
- Participate in training sessions to develop technical knowledge and operational skills
- Manage stock levels
Qualifications
- Minimum Grade 4 in Maths and English (Science desirable)
- Good communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions
- Ability to work safely in an industrial environment and adhere to safety protocols
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and work as part of a team
- Prior experience in manufacturing or plant operations is preferred but not mandatory
