Full job description

One or two weeks on/off.

No sponsorship is available with this role.

Driving licence preferable but not necessary if you can get to property of client.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being is always maintained.

This role involves working closely with clients within their own home providing high-quality customer care.

Duties:

Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and preferences.
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
Implement behaviour management techniques as needed to ensure a calm and safe environment.
Perform heavy lifting when required, assisting clients with physical mobility and transfers.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any significant changes in client condition to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
Ensure a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties as necessary.
Respond promptly to emergencies and provide first aid when required.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not essential.
Knowledge of medication administration protocols and patient care practices is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
Certification in first aid is desirable; training may be provided if necessary.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

A private room will be provided for the candidate during your working week.
