Full job description

Part Time (2 Days Per Week), Permanent

Are you a confident communicator with excellent customer service and negotiation skills? Do you enjoy building positive relationships, solving problems, and helping people manage their accounts? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

We are looking for a Home Ownership Income Officer to join our team and play a key role in supporting our leaseholders while protecting the income that helps us deliver vital housing services.

About the Role

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to manage your own portfolio of home ownership accounts, working directly with leaseholders to provide support, advice, and effective account management.

As a Home Ownership Income Officer, you will:

Manage a designated patch of home ownership accounts.
Build positive relationships with leaseholders through regular contact and engagement.
Monitor accounts and take prompt action where payments fall into arrears.
Negotiate and set up sustainable payment arrangements.
Carry out home visits where appropriate to discuss accounts and provide support.
Work proactively to maximise income collection while delivering excellent customer service.
Maintain accurate records and monitor account performance.
Liaise with colleagues and external agencies to achieve the best outcomes for residents and the organisation.
Manage cases through the legal recovery process where necessary, including preparing documentation, attending court hearings, and representing the organisation in cases where payment plans have failed.

No two days are the same. You'll balance office-based account management with direct engagement with leaseholders, giving you the opportunity to make a genuine difference while managing your own workload and priorities.

We're seeking someone who:

Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Is confident discussing financial matters and negotiating payment solutions.
Can manage a varied caseload and work independently.
Has strong organisational and administrative skills.
Is committed to delivering outstanding customer service.
Can build rapport and maintain positive professional relationships.
Has experience of income collection, account management, housing, customer service, or a related field (desirable).
