IT Technician / Warehouse Operative

We are looking for a motivated and experienced IT Technician / Warehouse Operative to join our growing team at our Hockley site. This is a varied, hands-on role that combines technical IT work with client collections and warehouse operations. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for diagnosing, testing, and processing IT equipment, while also supporting our logistics and warehouse functions when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, test, and assess a wide range of used IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, servers, and networking hardware.
- Process and prepare IT assets for reuse, refurbishment, or recycling.
- Accurately record equipment details and maintain inventory within the company management system.
- Assist with warehouse operations, including unloading, packing, sorting, and handling IT equipment.
- Follow company procedures for data security, asset tracking, and health & safety.
- If required, carry out secure collections and deliveries of redundant IT equipment from customer sites using company vehicles.
Full training will be provided on our internal systems and processes.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience working in an IT support, repair, refurbishment, or technical role.
- Strong knowledge of PC hardware and the ability to diagnose and test computer equipment.
- A full, clean UK driving licence.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The flexibility to support warehouse and driving duties as required.
Essential Requirements
- Aged 25 or over (for vehicle insurance purposes).
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Willing to undergo a DBS (criminal record) check.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with data sanitisation or IT asset disposition (ITAD).
- Experience working with enterprise IT equipment.
Hours 08:00-17:00
