Overview
Assan Panel is one of the 22 group companies of Kibar Holding and started to operate in 1990 in Istanbul, Turkey. Assan Panel is the leader of the sandwich panel market in Turkey and the largest sandwich panel producer in the Middle East, exporting to more than 85 countries with the production facilities in Turkey, Jordan, Azerbaijan, United Kingdom and sales offices in Hungary. Assan Panel is moving forward to become a global player in the sector. Since 2010, it has achieved a record capacity utilization rate of 85%, which is uncommon in Turkey and the rest of the world, with sales capacity of 24,000,000 m2 of output.
Assan Panel also has polyurethane systems business unit under AssanChem as well as AFG Steel company providing EPCM solutions in building envelope, roof top solar plants, cold rooms and construction of industrial buildings.
We are looking for 2 team members as an Electrical Maintenance Technician and Mechanical Maintenance Technician, responsible for maintaining and repairing all machinery and equipment across the facility, in Stowmarket, Ipswich.
Electrical Maintenance Technician Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in machines, equipment, and production lines.
- Monitor and report monthly electricity consumption.
- Inspect and maintain AC/DC motors and control components of various production lines (e.g., cutting, press, shrink, polycarbonate).
- Perform periodic maintenance and ensure electrical panels are clean and organised.
- Read and track machine-connected electricity meters.
- Carry out required electrical installations and follow up on previous shifts’ repairs.
- Support mechanical maintenance when needed to ensure production continuity.
- Participate in assembly/disassembly and maintenance teams as per instructions.
- Record maintenance data and complete standard reports.
- Contribute to improvement projects for machine efficiency and reliability.
Mechanical Maintenance Technician Key Responsibilities:
- Detect and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.
- Perform part replacements, adjustments, and preventive maintenance.
- Support maintenance of pentane, polyol, and isocyanate tanks.
- Handle conveyor, valve, and welding repairs when needed.
- Coordinate production or outsourcing of required parts.
- Record maintenance activities and ensure workplace safety.
- Assist with electrical maintenance and machine improvement projects.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK with no restrictions. Proof of Right to Work will be required at the interview stage.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £36,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
