We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, supportive team in beautiful Windermere, right in the heart of the Lake District.

The Role

Either Full-time or Part-time

Shared out-of-hours rota, typically 1 in 6 supported by the nursing team

A mixed caseload of medical and surgical cases.

Whether you’re an experienced vet looking to broaden your general small animal experience or develop a specialism in a particular area, we can offer a varied caseload and the clinical freedom to thrive.
- This position would not be suitable for a new graduate.
About Us

Our practice is well-equipped and supported by highly experienced certificate-holding vets, as well as skilled nursing, physiotherapy, and administrative teams.
The Practice is RCVS accredited with our main surgery in Windermere and branch practice at Ambleside. We have a fully-equipped operating theatre, dental x-ray, ultrasound and in-house laboratory. Our Animal Rehabilitation Centre has a state-of-the art underwater treadmill, K-laser and also offers physiotherapy, massage and acupuncture.
As well as first-opinion care for our own clients’ animals, we see many visiting holiday makers’ pets each week. In addition to this we treat referral cases from other practices for surgery, rehabilitation and dentistry.
We take internal communication very seriously with morning rounds every day and a weekly in-house CPD meeting, as well as an annual AGM and numerous social events.
