Job Role
The applicant will be responsible for the welding and fabrication of bespoke equipment, components and subcontract projects to a high level of accuracy on a day-to-day basis.
- Carry out welding and fabrication to meet project requirements in a timely manor
- Carry out repairs to existing rental equipment
- General workshop tasks and housekeeping
- Assist with dry-fitting and prototype work
Essential Prerequisites
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Field relevant qualifications
- Experience of welding/fabricating precision components
- A high degree of self-motivation and ambition
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Professional approach to people management
- Good time management and organisation skills
- Willingness to work overtime as required
- Experience of MIG, TIG, MMA in materials of steel (mild steel), stainless steel and aluminium
- Experience of cutting and drilling equipment including Plasma
Preferred Prerequisites
- Coding
- NDT Qualification
- Forklift Licence
- Background in Marine Engineering
- Experience of Mechanical Fitting
Pay: £17.50-£20.00 per hour
