Overview
We are seeking a professional and organised Receptionist/Legal Assistant to join our legal practice from Monday to Friday during the afternoons. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong administrative skills and a keen interest in legal support functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing front-desk duties, supporting legal staff with various administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth office operations. The position is paid and ideal for someone looking to develop their career within a dynamic legal environment.

Responsibilities

Greet clients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence efficiently
Maintain and update legal files, records, and databases using organisational skills
Assist with scheduling appointments and meetings using Microsoft Outlook
Assist in preparing of legal documents, reports, and correspondence with accuracy and attention to detail
Support legal staff with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and document management
Ensure the reception area remains tidy and welcoming at all times
Manage IT-related issues or requests to ensure smooth office operations

Skills

Proven administrative experience, ideally within a legal setting
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in typing with high accuracy levels
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Good IT skills to troubleshoot basic technical issues when necessary
Effective time management to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Attention to detail and high levels of professionalism
