Steps Together Group operate a UK based collection of Private Residential and Outpatient Treatment Services to support adults with Poor Mental Health and Addictions, or experiencing difficulties with stress, depression and anxiety disorders.
Based at our new luxury treatment facility at the beautiful, Historic Rainford Hall in St Helens, we are now actively seeking a dynamic, passionate and committed Addiction Counsellor to work alongside our existing professional therapy team to deliver an effective, addiction treatment therapy programme for our clients and their families.
Working with a range of clients, including those experiencing significant difficulties with addiction to drugs and alcohol, or low-level mental health concerns (Post COVID-19 Anxiety, stress and depression disorders), the successful candidate will deliver a range of structured group and one-one therapy sessions designed to secure lasting recovery and well-being.
Duties:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the needs of clients seeking addiction counselling
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client's goals and needs
- Provide counselling and support to individuals struggling with addiction
- Facilitate group therapy sessions to address common issues and promote peer support
- Educate clients and their families about addiction, recovery, and relapse prevention strategies
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and provide comprehensive treatment
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with legal and ethical standards
Requirements:
- Level 4 qualification or above in counselling/Psychotherapy
- Registered with the BACP, NCS or equivalent
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices for addiction treatment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients
- Empathy and compassion for individuals struggling with addiction
- Familiarity with community resources and referral networks for additional support services
Pay: £15.67 per hour
