Registered Manager
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and highly motivated Registered Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our nursing care home. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of outstanding, person-centred care while maintaining full compliance with (CQC) regulations and all relevant legislation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated leader with previous care home or nursing home management experience who is passionate about driving quality, supporting staff development, and achieving excellent outcomes for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective leadership and management of the care home, ensuring safe, high-quality, person-centred care is delivered at all times.
- Maintain full compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards, Health and Social Care Act regulations, safeguarding requirements, and all relevant policies and procedures.
- Lead, motivate, supervise, and develop a multidisciplinary team, including care staff, senior carers, nurses (where applicable), and support staff.
- Ensure robust recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal, and ongoing training programmes are in place.
- Oversee the completion, review, and auditing of person-centred care plans, risk assessments, and daily care documentation to ensure accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Carry out regular care plan audits, medication audits, infection prevention audits, health and safety audits, and quality assurance checks, implementing action plans where improvements are required.
- Monitor clinical governance and ensure safe medication management, incident reporting, safeguarding investigations, and effective risk management.
- Support residents with a range of needs, including dementia, physical disabilities, complex health conditions, and end-of-life care where appropriate.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, local authorities, and external agencies to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
- Manage occupancy, staffing levels, budgets, rotas, and resources effectively while maintaining high standards of care.
- Prepare for CQC inspections and lead continuous service improvement initiatives to achieve and maintain Good or Outstanding ratings.
- Produce accurate reports, maintain regulatory documentation, and provide regular updates to senior management.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, or Home Manager within a care home or nursing home setting.
- Eligibility to become, or currently registered as, a CQC Registered Manager.
- Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations, Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOEs), Fundamental Standards, safeguarding legislation, and health and safety requirements.
- Experience managing or working within a nursing home environment is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in developing, reviewing, and auditing care plans, risk assessments, and care documentation.
- Experience conducting quality assurance audits, including care plans, medication, infection control, health and safety, and governance audits.
- Excellent understanding of dementia care, elderly care, person-centred care, and best practice within residential and nursing care services.
- Strong leadership, staff management, coaching, and performance management skills.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it) is desirable.
- Nursing qualification (RGN/RMN) is welcomed but not essential.

Pay: £45,500.00-£49,000.00 per year
